He was an American Producer, known for The Wedding March (1928), Blind Husbands (1919), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), Carl Laemmle's first movie on record is from 1909. Carl Laemmle died on September 24, 1939 in Hollywood, California, USA. His last motion picture on file dates from 1936.
Biographical Notes in German: Amerikanischer Filmproduzent deutscher Herkunft, eröffnete 1906 sein erstes Kino in Chicago und gründete den Filmverleih Laemmle Film Service. 1909 gründete er die Independent Movie Pictures Company (I.M.P.), die bald eine der wichtigsten Produktionsfirmen der Unabhängigen Produzenten wurde. 1912 wurde aus der IMP mit anderen unabhängigen Produktionen die Universal. 1915 eigenes Atelier in Los Angeles.
