Biographical Notes in German: Schauspielerin des amerikanischen Stummfilms, eigentlich Renée Reeves, Tochter eines Clowns und um Zirkusmilieu aufgewachsen. Mit 18 Jahren Tänzerin in den Folies Bergères. Auf einer Tournee in Australien dreht sie ihren ersten Film "£ 500 Reward", der am 18. November 1918 im Globe Theater in Sydney uraufgeführt wird. Bei einer Tournee mit der Musikrevue "Oh, What a Girl" entdeckt sie Raoul Walsh in Hollywood und bietet ihr eine Rolle in der Clemenceau Adaption "The Strongest" an. Renée bleibt in Californien, heiratet 1921 Tom Moore, mit dem sie in "Made in Heaven" auftritt. Wenig später nimmt MGM sie unter Vertrag, wo sie jedes Jahr so etwa fünf Filme drehen wird, meistens Rollen von Französinnen. Unvergessen dürfte Renée Adorée bleiben als Mélisande in King Vidors "The Big Parade" als Partnerin von John Gilbert.
