Synopsis in German
Der Ehemann einer bekannten Schauspielerin verfolgt eifersüchtig den jugendlichen Bühnenpartner seiner attraktiven Frau und wird verdächtigt, auf ihn einen Mordanschlag verübt zu habe. Das sehr stilsicher und effektvoll inszenierte Melodram des tschechischen Regisseurs Karel Lamac wurde vom Nationalen Filmarchiv in Prag restauriert. Die Kritik bezeichnete den Film als „Volltreffer“ und bezeichnete Hauptdarsteller Josef Rovensky anerkennend als „tschechischen Emil Jannings“. (Förderverein Filmkultur Bonn)
