He was an Austrian Actor, known for Tanz mit dem Kaiser (1941), Immer die Radfahrer (1958), Verlobung am Wolfgangsee (1956), Wolf Albach-Retty's first movie on record is from 1927. Wolf Albach-Retty died on February 21, 1967 in Wien. His last motion picture on file dates from 1964.

Auf der Leinwand der Inbegriff des Wiener Charmeurs, 1931
von der UFA nach Berlin verpflichtet. Gilt als der perfekte
"jungenhafte Elegant, den die Liebe rechtzeitig vor dem
Schicksal eines Lebemannes bewahrt" (Cinegraph). 1933
spielte er zum ersten Male mit Magda Schneider, die er drei
Jahre später heiratete, 1938 kam Tochter Romy zur Welt, 1940
ihr Sohn Wolf-Dieter.
Nach dem Krieg vor allem in Rollen des eleganten Herrn in
nostalgischen Filmen über die Donaumonarchie. 1959 Rückkehr
an das Burgtheater, 1963 Herzinfarkt, kurz danach Rückzug
ins Privatleben.
