Elsa Wagner was born on January 24, 1881 in Reval, Estland. She was a German Actress, known for Unternehmen Michael (1937), Der Fussgänger (1971), Das Spukschloss im Spessart (1960), Elsa Wagner's first movie on record is from 1916. Elsa Wagner died on August 16, 1975 in Berlin. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1971.
Biographical Notes in German: Nach dem Besuch der Akademie der Dramatischen Künste in Petrograd übersiedelte sie nach Deutschland, wo sie von 1907 bis 1911 am Theater in Hannover engagiert war. Von 1911 bis 1921 als Charakterdarstellerin am Deutschen Theater in Berlin, dann bis 1945 am dortigen Staatstheater. Nach 1946 am Schillertheater; zahlreiche Filmrollen, ihr letztes bedeutendes Engagement dürfte bei Maximilian Schell's "FUSSGÄNGER" in der Runde der "grossen alten Damen" gewesen sein.
