Chaplin Mitglied der Truppe von Fred Karno war. Chaplin holte zur Essanay und
White spielte in der Folge meist die Figur des eleganten Bösewichts. Nach der
Trennung von Chaplin spielte White in unterschiedlichen Rollen unter anderem
bei Fred Niblo in BLOOD AND SAND oder in Wilhelm Dieterles MADAME DUBARRY.
Bei Chaplin hatte er im GREAT DICTATOR nochmals einen Gastauftritt als
Barbier.
