Im Alter von 17 Jahren schrieb sie ihren ersten Roman ,L'Homme facile,, der ihr ein beeindruckendes EntrĂ©e in die französische Literaturszene bescherte. Die Filmemacherin, Schriftstellerin und Drehbuchautorin hat bisher sieben BĂŒcher veröffentlicht und sechs Filme gedreht. Ihre filmischen Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch einen sehr persönlichen Stil aus, der erdig und krĂ€ftig ist, und in deren Mittelpunkt zumeist eine Ich-ErzĂ€hlerin steht. Im Katalog des Internationalen Film Festivals von Rotterdam, bei dem ihr eine Werkschau gewidmet wurde, wird sie als ,eminent moderne Frau, temperamentvoll und offen, beschrieben - eine Frau, die ihr eigenes Leben oder das von Freunden und Bekannten als Inspirationsquelle fĂŒr ihre DrehbĂŒcher nutzt.
