Boris Jurtsev was born on July 18, 1900 in Moskva. He was a Russian Actor, Director, Author, known for Stachka (1924), Ljubov Aleni (1934), Mjach i Serdtse (1935), Boris Jurtsev's first movie on record is from 1924. Boris Jurtsev died on April 12, 1954 in Moskva. His last motion picture on file dates from 1941.
Biographical Notes in German: Boris Jurtsev (1900-1954) zählt zu den vergessenen Regisseuren Russlands, obwohl er in den Dreissiger Jahren recht bekannt war. Er debĂĽtierte wie so mancher in den Theater-Workshops des Proletkult von Sergej Eisenstein und spielte in Eisensteins frĂĽhen Filmen, unter anderem in "Stachka" mit. Seinen ersten eigenen Spielfilm drehte er mit "Оторванные рукава", dessen Drehbuch er zusammen mit Ivan Pyrjev verfasst hatte. Von 1928 bis 1935 folgten fĂĽnf weiter Filme, meistens Komödien. Ljubov Orlova spielte ihre erste Rolle in Jurtsevs "Любовь Алены" ["Die Liebe der Alena", 1934]. Im November 1935 wurde Jurtsev "im Zusammenhang mit Aktivitäten gegen das sowjetische Volk" verhaftet und ohne Gerichtsverfahren verbannt. Nach seiner Freilassung im April 1941 arbeitete er bei den Ashgabat Studios.
Von seinen Regiearbeiten scheinen nur noch zwei Filme erhalten zu sein: "Изящная жизнь" ("Izjashchnaja zhizn", mit Boris Tenin und Olga Zhizneva, 1932) und "Стебельков в небесах" ("Stebelkov v nebesakh", 1941), den er im Ashgabat Studio mit Mark Bernes in der Hauptrolle gedreht hatte.
