Biographical Notes in German: Александр Борисович Чаковский, (1913-1994), Sowjetischer Schriftsteller, Literaturstudium am Maksim-Gorkij Institut, Kriegsberichterstatter, 1944 erster Teil des dokumentarischen Romans «Es war in Leningrad» über die Belagerung der Stadt. «Licht eines fernen Sterns», veröffentlicht 1962 [deutsch 1963, Verlag Kultur und Fortschritt, Berlin]. Weitere Werke waren die Kriegsroman «Die Blockade» (1968-75, verfilmt von Mikhail Jershov) und «Der Sieg» (1978-1981, verfilmt von Jevgenij Matvejev), die ideologisch eine Rückkehr zu stalinistischen Tendenzen markierten. Neben seiner Funktion als Chefredaktor der Literaturnaja Gazeta war Chakovskij auch von 1962 bis 1991 im Vorstand des Verbands der Sowjetischen Schriftsteller. (lhg 2012)
