Als einer der ersten verwendete Segundo de Chomón in LA VIE ET PASSION DE JESUS-CHRISTO 1907 eine Kamerafahrt, des weiteren entdeckte oder verbesserte er verschiedene Tricks wie transparente Hintergründe, animierte Objekte oder Zeichnungen usf. CABIRIA von Giovanni Pastrone zählt zu seinen bedeutendsten Filmen als Kameramann.
