Renate Ewert was born on November 9, 1935 in Königsberg. Biographical Notes in German: Geboren in Königsberg 1935, floh die Familie vor 1945 nach Berlin. Renate Ewert kam über das Synchronstudio zu ersten Rollen im Film, debütuierte im Dritten Teil von "08/15" und spielte dann in den Fünfziger und Sechzigere Jahren in verschiedenen Filmen u.a. auch in Frankreich, ohne je aber die dramatischen Rollen verkörpern zu können, von welche sie träumte.
Am 10. Dezember 1966 wurde sie von ihrer Schauspielerkollegin Susanne Cramer tot in ihrer Wohnung aufgefunden.
