Biographical Notes in German: Arbeitete nach dem Studienabschluss an der Universität von Sydney ab 1979 als künstlerischer Co-Direktor am Nimrod Theatre. Seither zählt Neil Armfield zu den namhaftesten Bühnenregisseuren Australiens. Er hat an Theatern und Opernhäusern inszeniert, vornehmlich im Rahmen der Company B am Belvoir Street Theatre, deren Künstlerischer Leiter er 1994 wurde. Er hat auch in den USA und Großbritannien gearbeitet und ist mit seinen Inszenierungen auf internationale Gastspielreisen gegangen.
