Martina Gedeck was born on September 14, 1961 in Landshut. She is a German Actress, known for Der doppelte Nötzli (1990), Goldjunge (1988), Die Krücke (1992), Martina Gedeck's first movie on record is from 1986. Her last motion picture on file dates from 2014.
Biographical Notes in German: Martina Gedeck, 1961 in Landshut geboren, studierte von 1980 bis 1982 Germanistik und Geschichte an der FU Berlin. Von 1982 bis 1986 absolvierte sie ihre Schauspielausbildung an der Hochschule der Künste in Berlin.

Martina Gedeck war bereits in einigen der maßgeblichen deutschen Kinoerfolge der 90er Jahre als Schauspielerin präsent. So zum Beispiel 1994 in "Der bewegte Mann" von Sönke Wortmann neben Til Schweiger und Joachim Król, 1995 in "Stadtgespräch" mit Katja Riemann oder 1996 in Helmut Dietls "Rossini". Für ihre Rolle in dem Kinofilm "Grüne Wüste" (1999) von Anno Saul gewann sie den Bayerischen Filmpreis als beste weibliche Hauptdarstellerin. 1995 war sie in der Rolle des Hölleisengretls in dem gleichnamigen Fernsehfilm von Jo Baier zu sehen. In den letzten Jahren schaffte sie nach Erfolgen in Deutschland, unter anderem in Oskar Roehlers "Elementarteilchen" (2006), den internationalen Durchbruch. In Florian Henkel von Donnersmarks oscarprämiertem Film "Das Leben der Anderen" (2006) spielte sie die weibliche Hauptrolle, während sie im gleichen Jahr unter der Regie von Robert de Niro an der Seite von Matt Damon und Angelina Jolie in "Der gute Hirte" auftrat. Zuletzt war Martina Gedeck unter anderem als Ulrike Meinhof in Uli Edels Spielfilm "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex" (2008) sowie in Xaver Schwarzenbergers Fernsehzweiteiler "Sisi" (2009) zu sehen.
