Biographical Notes in German: Komponist und Textdichter, eigentlich Robert Winterfeld, Universität in
Berlin und Freiburg im Breisgau, schrieb Liedertexte zu etwa 50 Operetten
und 100 Tonfilmen, darunter "Das muss ein Stück vom Himmel sein", "Im
Weissen Rössl am Wolfgangsee", "Das ist die Liebe der Matrosen".
Operettenkomponist von Erfolgen wie "Der Kongress tanzt", "Der letzte
Walzer" etc.
1933 musste Robert Gilbert emigrieren, kehrte 1950 aus den USA wieder nach
Deutschland zurück. 1951 Konzept zum Film "Das weisse Abenteuer"
