Leonhard Gmür was born on April 30, 1942 in Luzern. He is a Swiss Herstellungsleiter, Producer, known for Babes in Toyland (1986), L' Ours (1988), Five Days one Summer (1982), Leonhard Gmür's first movie on record is from 1967., married to Karin Buer. His last motion picture on file dates from 2019.
Biographical Notes in German: Born April 30, 1942 in Lucerne, Switzerland. High School in Luzern, and then studies at University of Bern (law) and Munich (Journalisme). Worked as filmcritic for Swiss and German newspapers and radio stations since 1959, Public Relations for German feature films on international film festivals. Lecturer for Filmproduction Work 1995 to 2011. Married to Karin Gmür-Buer, one son.

Start in Filmproduction as stills-photographer, some cameo-parts in feature films, then location manager and assistant director for German and international filmproductions with directors Maximilian Schell (The Pedestrian), Michelangelo Antonioni (The Passenger), Ronald Neame (The Odessa File), Robert Wise (The Hindenburg), Bryan Forbes (The Slipper and the Rose), Norman Jewison (Rollerball) etc.

Production Manager Credits include "21 hours at Munich" by William Graham (Moonlight Productions), "Holocaust" by Marvin Chomsky (Titus Productions), "Sidney Sheldon's Bloodline" by Terence Young (Paramount Pictures), "Five Days One Summer" by Fred Zinnemann (The Ladd Company for Warner Bros.), "The Bear" by Jean-Jacques Annaud (Renn Productions) and second unit action sequences for six James-Bond productions (from "Octopussy" to "Quantum of Solace") for UK based EON production. Forms 1985 production service company "Unicorn Film" in Munich. March 1991 to March 1992 Executive Production Manager for TaurusFilm / The Kirch Group to supervise production work in Prague.

Experience in United States and Canada include work as Associate Producer for Ridely Scott "Legend" (20th Century Fox) and 1983-1985 as Executive Production Manager at Douglas Trumbull's "Showscan".
