Ivan Koval-Samborskij was born on September 16, 1893 in Moskva. He was a Russian Actor, known for Sprengbagger 1010 (1929), Das Donkosakenlied (1929), Alraune (1930), Ivan Koval-Samborskij's first movie on record is from 1924. Ivan Koval-Samborskij died on January 10, 1962. His last motion picture on file dates from 1961.
Biographical Notes in German: Schauspieler des russischen Films, 1922-23 am Theater Meyerhold, erste bedeutende Filmrolle als junger Arbeiter Andrej 1925 in Protazanovs "Jevo prizyv". In den Jahren 1927 bis 1932 auch eine kurze Karriere im deutschen Film, unter anderem zusammen mit Anna Sten. 1932 Rückkehr in die UdSSR und Arbeit für verschiedene Studios, 1938 verhaftet und nach Zentralasien verbannt. "Ich entkam den Nazis, weil ich in die Sowjetunion zurückkehrte, aber ich wäre besser nach Paris geflohen" meinte Koval-Samborskij. Nach der Rehabilitierung 1956 Fortführung der Filmkarriere bis zu seinem Tod.
