Hans Behrendt was born on September 28, 1889 in Berlin. He was a German Actor, Author, Director, known for Gloria (1932), Ein Tag auf dem Mars (1921), Ein Sommernachtstraum (1924), Hans Behrendt's first movie on record is from 1919. Hans Behrendt died on August 14, 1942 in KZ Auschwitz. His last motion picture on file dates from 1936.
Biographical Notes in German: Schauspieler, Autor und Regisseur des deutsche Stumm- und Tonfilms, emigrierte 1933 erst nach Spanien, dann über Österreich nach Belgien, wo er 1940 nach Aberkennung seiner deutschen Staatsbürgerschaft von den Deutschen verhaftet und in Frankreich interniert wurde. Am 14. August 1942 wurde Behrendt aus dem französischen Lager Drancy nach Auschwitz deportiert, vermutlich wurde kurz nach seiner Ankunft ermordet.
