Philippe Noiret was born on October 1, 1930 in Lille. He was a French Actor, known for 'round Midnight (1986), L' Africain (1983), Qualcosa di Biondo (1984), Philippe Noiret's first movie on record is from 1954. Philippe Noiret died on November 23, 2006 in Paris. His last motion picture on file dates from 2003.
Biographical Notes in German: Mit seiner imposanten Statur, seiner tiefen Stimme und seiner gemütlichen Ausstrahlung galt er als "Grand Seigneur" des französischen Kinos des 20. Jahrhunderts. Mehr als 140 Rollen verkörperte er in den über 50 Jahren seiner Filmkarriere und er spielte in zahlreichen Theaterstücken. Seinen ersten Kinoerfolg hatte er 1960 mit "Zazie" von Louis Malle, sein Durchbruch gelang ihm 1968 mit "Alexander, der Lebenskünstler" von Yves Robert. Die Rolle des Vielfraßes und Faulpelzes war ihm auf den Leib geschneidert. Er spielte auch in internationalen Produktionen, aber die französische Sprache und besonders die enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Regisseur Bertrand Tavernier brachten ihm ab den 1970er-Jahren die größten Erfolge: "Der Uhrmacher von St. Paul" (1974), "Der Saustall" (1981) und "Das Leben und nichts anderes" (1990) zählen dazu. Doch nicht nur mit seinen Filmen hat sich Philippe Noiret in die Herzen seiner Zuschauer gespielt. Der im November 2006 verstorbene Schauspieler wurde auch wegen seiner Persönlichkeit geliebt. Der unermüdlich arbeitende Star lebte privat zurückgezogen auf seinem Landsitz und liebte Hunde, Pferde, Champagner und Zigarren über alles. (mdr Presse)
