Biographical Notes in German: Ungarischer Theater- und Filmschauspieler, auch in Deutschland und Österreich tätig. Seine bedeutendste Rolle spielte Beregi als Anstaltsleiter Dr. Baum in Fritz Langs "Testament des Dr. Mabuse". In den Dreissiger Jahren endgültige Emigration in die USA, nachdem Beregi bereits in den Zwanziger Jahren in Hollywood-Filmen gespielt hatte.
