Dieter Pfaff was born on October 2, 1947 in Dortmund. He was a German Actor, known for Tatort - Zabou (1986), Schlüsselblumen (1987), Manta, der Film (1991), Dieter Pfaff's first movie on record is from 1981. Dieter Pfaff died on March 5, 2013. His last motion picture on file dates from 2013.
Biographical Notes in German: Dieter Pfaff arbeitete nach der Schauspielausbildung als Schauspieler, Dramaturg und Regisseur am Theater und erhielt eine Professur an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Graz. Seine Karriere als Fernsehschauspieler begann erst mit Mitte 30 in der Serie „Der Fahnder“. Inzwischen gehört Dieter Pfaff zu den profiliertesten Darstellern des deutschen Fernsehens, wozu auch die Titelfiguren der Serien „Bruder Esel“ und „Sperling“ beigetragen haben, für die er mehrfach ausgezeichnet wurde, u. a. zweimal mit dem Grimme-Preis. Zu sehen war Dieter Pfaff aber auch in zahlreichen Fernseh- und Kinofilmen, u. a. in der Regie von Kaspar Heidelbach in „Nie mehr zweite Liga“, in „Verrückt ist auch normal“ (Regie Vivian Naefe), den drei Episoden von „Unser Pappa“ (Regie Thomas Jauch und Ilse Hoffmann), in Dieter Wedels „Die Affäre Semmeling“, Oliver Storz’ „Im Schatten der Macht“, Helmut Dietls „Late Show“ und in „Der tote Taucher im Wald“ (Regie Marcus O. Rosenmüller). Seit 2005 verkörpert Dieter Pfaff auch die Titelfigur in der Serie „Der Dicke“, für deren zweite Staffel er im Sommer 2006 wieder vor der Kamera stand. Im Herbst 2006 drehte Dieter Pfaff unter dem Arbeitstitel „Die blaue Stunde“ zum elftenmal für die Reihe „Bloch“.

2001 erhielt der Schauspieler die Goldene Kamera. Dieter Pfaff starb am 5. März 2013 an Lungenkrebs
