Zivotopisné poznámky (v němčině): Otto Preminger, geboren 1906 in Wien, war bereits viele Jahre als Schauspieler und Leiter am Theater tätig, bevor er 1931 mit "Die große Liebe" sein Regiedebüt beim Film hatte. 1935 emigrierte er in die USA, wo er sowohl am Theater in New York als auch für die 20th Century Fox in Hollywood arbeitete. Mit "The Moon Is Blue" und "Carmen Jones" etablierte sich Preminger als einer der ersten freien und unabhängigen Produzenten und Regisseure des internationalen Kinos.
