He was a German Actor, Director, known for Bel Ami (1939), Der Jüngling aus der Konfektion (1926), Zwei Bayern im Harem (1957), Johannes Riemann's first movie on record is from 1916. Johannes Riemann died on September 30, 1959 in Konstanz. His last motion picture on file dates from 1957.
Biographical Notes in German: Gymnasium in Berlin, Schüler von Alexander Strakosch, dann Theater in der Königsgrätzer Strasse, Teplitz-Schönau, Meran, Marienbad und Weimar. Zurück nach Berlin zu Max Reinhardt. 1916 erster Film "Gelöste Ketten" als Partner von Henny Porten. Zu Beginn der Tonfilmära nach Hollywood, auch als Autor und Regissuer. 1932/33 in England. Stummfilmpartner von Mia May, Maria Orska, Pola Negri und Lya Mara.
