Biographical Notes
Schauspielerin des deutschen Stummfilms, laut anderen Quellen 1897 geboren. Nach der Oktoberrevolution erst nach Konstantinopel und anfangs der Zwanziger Jahre nach Berlin. In der Folge hat sie in Berlin eine kurze, aber erfolgreiche Karriere und spielt in rund dreissig Filmen vorwiegend die weibliche Hauptrolle.
Der aufkommende Tonfilm beendet ihre Karriere, anfangs der Dreissiger Jahre zieht sie nach Frankreich, wo sie 1962 stirbt. (laut anderen Quellen 1954)
Xenia Desny war die Mutter der Schauspielerin Tamara Desni.
