Enters cinema in 1902 as one of the first directors and ì
production managers, working together with Oskar Messte. A ì
pioneer in producing newsreels (1918), and founds his own ì
production company in 1920. Many of his films featured ì
Henny Porten. Produced mostof his own films between 1922 ì
and 1941, together with films of other directors.
