Stacia Napierkowska was born on Dezember 16, 1886 in Paris. She was a French Herec, known for Une nuit agitée (1911), Max lance la mode (1911), Max jockey par amour (1913), Stacia Napierkowska's first movie on record is from 1908. Stacia Napierkowska died on May 11, 1945 in Paris. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1926.

eigentlich Renée Claire Angèle Élisabeth Napierkowski, oft auch als Stasia Napierkowska oder Stacia de Napierkowska, Schauspielerin des frühen französischen Films, bekannt vor allem durch Jacques Feyders L'Atlantide.

Die in Paris gebürtige mit polnischen Wurzeln debütiert wie Mistinguett als Tänzerin in den Folies-Bergères und wird in kurzer Zeit zu einem der gefeiertsten Stars der Jahrhundertwende. Um 1908 erhält sie erste Filmrollen, ihr wohlgeformter Körper, ihre langen schwarzen Haare und ihre dunklen Augen prädestinieren sie für exotische Rollen wie etwa Semiramis oder Esmeralda in Victor Hugos "Glöckner von Notre Dame". Um 1913 / 14 ist sie Partnerin in mehreren Filmen von und mit Max Linder.

Nach einer Ballettournee durch Amerika spielt sie u.a. in Louis Feuillades "Les Vampires" und dann in mehreren Filmen von Ugo Falena in Italien. Dort schlägt ihr Germaine Dulac die Hauptrolle für ihren ersten Film "Vénus Victrix / Dans l’ouragan de la vie" (1916) vor, zieht sich dann aber vom Kino und Tanz zurück. Jacques Feyder verpflichtet sie 1919 für die Titelrolle in "L'Atlantide", doch beim Drehen musste er feststellen, dass ihr wohlgeformter Körper überfüllig geworden ist, und nur dank unzähligen Federboas und Leopardenfellen kann Feyder seine Diva photographieren - es war nicht mehr daran zu denken, dass sie noch tanzen werde. Trotz allem ist "L'Atlantide" der Film geworden, der Stacia Napierkowska zur Filmlegende prägte.

Sie spielte noch in einigen Filmen bis 1926, dann verliert sich die Spur des erloschenen Stars. Vergessen von allen stirbt Stacia Napierkowska in Armut im Mai 1945. (lhg 2010)
