Synopsis in German
Der eher biedere und zurückhaltende Chemiker Barnaby Fulton beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung eines Verjüngungsserums. Als er einmal sein Labor verlässt, befreit sich die Versuchsschimpansin Esther aus ihrem Käfig. Sie mischt die verschiedenen Flüssigkeiten, die Fulton für seine Versuche verwendet hat und schüttet sie in den Wasserautomaten des Labors. Als Fulton zurückkommt, nimmt er im Selbstversuch eine Dosis eines von ihm entwickelten Mittels und spült es mit Wasser aus dem Behälter herunter.

Das danach auftretende Schwindelgefühl und die sofort einsetzenden körperlichen und geistigen Veränderungen schreibt Fulton natürlich seinem Produkt zu. Er braucht plötzlich keine Brille mehr, lässt sich die Haare nach der neusten Mode für Jugendliche schneiden, kauft sich einen Sportwagen und führt die Sekretärin seines Chefs zum Schlittschuhlaufen und zum Schwimmen aus.

Nach acht Stunden ist die Wirkung des Verjüngungsmittels verraucht, Fulton kehrt in seinen vorherigen Zustand zurück und schläft ein. Als er aufwacht, erzählt er seiner Frau Edwina von seinem Abenteuer. Jetzt will sie das Mittel einnehmen, damit ihr Mann die Wirkung beobachten kann.... (ARTE Presse)
