Synopsis in German
Ein brisanter Fall im Milieu der Gefängnismafia macht Stoever und Brockmöller zu schaffen. Die Frau des inhaftierten Millionenräubers Harald Holland wird ermordet aufgefunden. Sie ist einer Schutzgelderpressung durch die Knastmafia gegen ihren Mann zum Opfer gefallen. Harald Holland hält den Anführer der Gefängnismafia, Ronny, für den Mörder und beschuldigt ihn. Die Gefängnisleitung streitet die Existenz einer Knastmafia ab und verweigert eine Verlegung Hollands zu dessen Sicherheit. Eine fatale Entscheidung: Holland wird ermordet.

Unterdessen ist Ronny wieder auf freiem Fuß. Der Gefängnisfürsorger Tiefenthal nimmt ihn gegenüber der Polizei in Schutz. Bei ihren Ermittlungen stoßen Stoever und Brockmöller auf eine Mauer des Schweigens sowohl bei den Behörden als auch bei Ronnys Freundin Jeanette. Schließlich sieht Stoever nur eine Möglichkeit, die Morde aufzuklären: Er schleust den jungen Kollegen Lukas Thorwald als "Spitzel" in das Gefängnis ein. (NDR Presse)
