Synopsis in German
Die wohlhabende Wienerin Elisabeth möchte ihrer Freundin Helene die Untreue ihrer Ehemänner beweisen. Gemeinsam beschliessen sie, ihren Ehemännern Georg und Paul auf dem Opernball eine Falle zu stellen, indem sie dem jeweils anderen Herrn auf den Zahn fühlen. Denn diesen Abend wollen die zwei Herren heimlich ohne ihre Angetrauten verbringen.
Georg engagiert unterdessen das Dienstmädchen Hanni mit dem Auftrag, sich an Paul heranzumachen, aus Rache dafür, dass Paul Georg einmal mit einer Zirkusartistin verkuppelt hat. Auch Helene und Elisabeth haben untereinander noch "offene Rechnungen": Helene hat früher einmal den Komponisten Stelzer geliebt, und Elisabeth Paul, obwohl sie schliesslich Georg geheiratet hat.
Schon bald läuft alles nach Plan: Georg und Paul ahnen nicht, dass sich hinter den Masken ihrer reizenden Tischdamen die beiden rachsüchtigen Ehefrauen verbergen. (3Sat Presse)
