Remarks and general Information in German: Remake des Films Czarna Ksiazeczka aus dem Jahre 1915 von Aleksander Hertz mit Pola Negri in der Hauptrolle. Der Film wurde während der nationalsozialistischen Herrschaft in Deutschland verboten und Kopien zerstört. 1922 in den USA unter dem Titel THE DEVIL'S PAWN gezeigt.

Von Kevin Brownlow restauriert sind Kopien in Israelischen Filmarchiv, Niederländischen Filmmuseum erhalten geblieben.
