Reviews in German: Ein Film à la Mode im Stil des Gesellschaftsdramas der Ende Zwanziger Jahre, vorwiegend in den Interieurs der Villen und Salons gedreht. Bemerkenswert ist eine Theaterinszenierung im Film, wo Asta Nielsen die Salom spielt. Es ist weitgehend ihr faszinierendes Gebärdenspiel, das den Film prägt. Alfred Abel als personifizierte Boosheit, erfrischen Elizza La Porta als Maleine und in der Rolle der Dienerin Li Maria Forescu. Als Ganzes aber von der Inszenierung ohne besondere Originalität.
