Synopsis in German
"Guten Morgen!" - "Ohayo!" - rufen Minoru und Isamu, die beiden Söhne von Keitaro und seiner Frau Tamiko allen zu, denen sie in ihrem Viertel in der Vorstadt von Tokio begegnen. Ohne sich dessen bewusst zu werden, werden sie Auslöser eines nachbarlichen Streits. Als ihr Vater sich weigert, ihnen einen Fernsehapparat zu kaufen, geraten sie mit ihren Eltern aneinander. Die befehlen den Jungen daraufhin entnervt, den Mund zu halten. Das nehmen die beiden wörtlich und beschließen, mit keinem mehr zu reden. Selbst kein "Guten Morgen" mehr. Die verdutzten Nachbarn glauben, dass die Mutter Tamiko dahintersteckt, was Missstimmung zwischen den Familien auslöst. Erst als der Vater einlenkt, geben die Söhne ihr Schweigen auf und grüßen alle Nachbarn wieder freundlich... (ARTE Presse)
