Synopsis in German
En 1916 un general revolucionario regresa en compañía de sus tropas y de un licenciado a su pueblo, donde lo reciben con grandes fiestas.
Mientras el general se interesa por la joven Chabela, un lugareño, Tejón, y el bigotón Procopio, lugarteniente del general, se disputan el amor de la rancherita Chole. (Cinemateca del INAH)

El motivo del regreso del Coronel es una mujer, la que le da sentido a su vida y por la que regresa para casarse, sin embargo, ella ya está enamorada de otro hombre con el que huye. El Coronel se resigna a su pérdida y vuelve a las filas revolucionarias.
