Weil sie den Gewinn nicht teilen wollen, verdonnert sie ein Richter zu sechs Monaten Ehe, bevor das Geld ausgezahlt wird. Es sei denn, einer der beiden lässt sich vorher scheiden. Nun setzen Joy und Jack auf dieselbe Karte: Wer den anderen zuerst vergrault, kriegt den Hauptgewinn für sich allein.

Das turbulente Spiel mit den geschlechtsspezifischen Klischees macht richtig Spaß, was auch den beiden Sympathieträgern Diaz und Kutcher zu verdanken ist. Beim perfiden Rosenkrieg überrascht die romantische Komödie mit originellen Einfällen, ohne dabei unter die Gürtellinie zu zielen. » (Cinema)
