Synopsis in German
Es ist der letzte Tag der Winterferien in einem ganz gewöhnlichen nordchinesischen Dorf. Vier gelangweilte Teenager treffen sich aus nichtigem Anlass bei ihrem Kumpel Zhou Zhixin, der mit Vater, Bruder und Neffe in einem Haushalt lebt. Wie die meisten Jugendlichen geniessen die Freunde ihren letzten schulfreien Tag und hängen in der kleinen Stadt herum, wo nie etwas zu passieren scheint. Ihre Gespräche plätschern ohne roten Faden dahin, doch bisweilen diskutieren sie auch kontroverse Themen. Einer der Protagonisten, Laowu, erklärt seiner Freundin bereitwillig, warum Liebesaffären bei Teenagern zu Problemen in der Schule führen können. Ein anderer, Laobao, fragt sich, was Schulbildung im echten Leben nützt. (Locarno 2010)
