Synopsis in German
Der Anruf eines alten Freundes und ehemaligen Kollegen ruft LKA-Kommissar Felix Murot zu einer Mordermittlung in ein kleines Dorf im Taunus. Dort angekommen wird aber gleich Entwarnung gegeben: Der Mörder hat sich selbst gerichtet, der Fall scheint geklärt. Noch am Abend macht sich Murot wieder auf den Weg nach Wiesbaden. Doch sein Gehirntumor peinigt ihn so sehr, dass er beschließt, die Nacht im Auto zu verbringen.

Im Morgengrauen läuft der vermeintliche Selbstmörder quicklebendig an seinem Auto vorbei. Ist das ein weiterer Streich seines Tumors? Oder ist da etwas faul im Dorf? Murot kehrt um und fängt an, inkognito im Dorf zu ermitteln. Schnell bekommt er heraus, dass der charismatische Herr Bemering im Ort das Sagen hat. Der lädt Murot in sein luxuriöses Anwesen ein, wo er auf die geheimnisvolle Frau Dr. Herkenrath stößt.

Die führt eine – etwas zu gut ausgestattete – Arztpraxis im Dorf und nimmt sich sofort Murots Tumor an. Bemering und Herkenrath versuchen herauszufinden, wer dieser Murot ist und was er vorhat. Der stellt derweil weiterhin unangenehme Fragen über den Verbleib des vermeintlichen Selbstmörders und stößt dabei auf ein Geheimnis, dass Bemering zwingt zu handeln. Murot wird in der Klinik von Frau Dr. Herkenrath festgehalten. Die Lage scheint hoffnungslos – doch Murot hat einen Plan... (ARD Presse)
