Remarks and general Information in German: Der Film nach dem Roman Кровавый поток von Scholem Aleichem behandelt das Engagement der Juden in der russischen Revolution von 1905: die junge Esfir Kaufman widersetzt sich dem Wunsch ihres Vaters, sich zu verheiraten, und schliesst sich stattdessen der revolutionären Bewegung an. - Die Schauspieler gehörten dem jĂĽdischen Theater Habima an.
Die Länge des Films wird in den vorliegenden Quellen unterschiedlich angegeben. Der Katalog der sowjetischen Spielfilme "Sovjetskije Khudozhestvennyje Filmy" gibt sie mit 9 Akten und 2358m an; Laut Lebedev sind es 7 Akte und 1997 Meter. Im Yuri Morozov Archive in Kiev ist eine Fassung mit einer Länge von 43 Minuten erhalten, also weniger als die Hälfte der originären Länge. Eine Westschweizer Website erwähnt, dass der Film 1927 in der UdSSR zensuriert wurde und auch die gekürzte Fassung dort nie aufgeführt wurde. Dies trifft nicht zu, und auch die publizierten Kritiken in "Pravda", "Komsomolskaja Pravda", "Kino" etc. widersprechen dieser Aussage. Allerdings erwähnen sowohl Sovjetskije Khudozhestvennyje Filmy wie auch die recht verlässliche Website kino-teatr.ru, dass der Film verschollen sei. Gemeint ist damit wohl die originale ungeschnitte Version.
