Synopsis in German
August Staudenmeyer kehrt nach 30 Jahren Abwesenheit als wohlhabender Mann in seine Heimatstadt Gerbersau zurück. Zunächst wird der erfolgreiche Geschäftsmann mit offenen Armen aufgenommen. Doch als er sich für die im Ort geächtete Witwe Katharina Entriß einsetzt, gerät er ins Abseits. August erkennt, dass sich die Engstirnigkeit der Gerbersauer keineswegs verändert hat. Um eine Erfahrung und um eine Liebe reicher, verlässt er die Heimat ein zweites Mal. (EinFestival Presse)
