Synopsis in German
Ein Dorf in Südfrankreich, 1865: Indem er sich taubstumm stellt, findet der junge Landstreicher Timothée Obdach bei der Landarzt-Familie der schönen Josephine. Beim Abendessen lösen seine seltsamen Tricks verstörende Gefühle bei ihr aus. Am nächsten Tag, als Josephine allein zu Hause ist, kehrt Timothée zurück, versetzt sie in hypnotische Trance und vergeht sich an ihr. Überwältigt von seiner hypnotischen Macht folgt sie ihm in die Wälder.

Obwohl Timothée sie verängstigt und abstößt und wiederholt missbraucht, entwickelt Josephine ein merkwürdiges Begehren und eine widersprüchliche Faszination für den wilden Fremden, der ihr immer vertrauter wird. Schließlich gelingt es Josephine zu fliehen. Timothée wird gefangen genommen und verurteilt. Doch vorher schließen die beiden noch eine Vereinbarung. (3Sat Presse)
