Synopsis in German
Englischer Beamter heiratet Indierin, die ihrer Bestimmung als Haremsdame entfloh. Vater ruft ihn nach England zurück, wo er standesgemäss heiraten soll. Am Schluss bleibt er bei seiner Indierin - die ihm zugedachte Gattin entpuppt sich erst noch als deren Schwester. (Nach "Der Film")

Remarks and general Information in German: UFA brachte den Film 1921 unter dem Titel "Im Reiche des weissen Elefanten" in die deutschen Kinos. Die deutsche Fassung hatte eine Länge von 1418 Meter und wurde am 28. September 1921 der Zensur in Berlin vorgelegt. The German title cards supposedly are lost.
