Synopsis in German
"Wächter, es gibt etwas zu feiern! Mein Tumor ist weg! Kommen Sie zu mir nach Fulda, ich lade Sie in den Zirkus ein." Magda Wächter, noch etwas skeptisch, folgt der Einladung ihres LKA-Chefs Felix Murot, und gemeinsam besuchen sie eine Vorstellung im Zirkus "Raxon". Mitten in der Vorstellung erhebt sich eine Frau im Publikum und deutet hysterisch schreiend auf jemanden in der Manege: "Das ist er! Lasst ihn nicht entkommen!" Das Licht geht aus, die Frau ist weg, und der Pianist der Zirkuskapelle verletzt sich im Dunkeln die Hand. Am nächsten Morgen erfahren Wächter und Murot, dass die Frau seit dem gestrigen Abend vermisst wird ...
Murot wittert Unbill, stattet dem Zirkus einen erneuten Besuch ab und schafft es - undercover als Pianist - in der Zirkuskapelle anzuheuern. Doch seine Anwesenheit wird nicht von allen Zirkusleuten gutgeheißen. Nachdem der verletzte Pianist in einem Gespräch andeutet, er habe eine interessante Beobachtung gemacht, verschwindet auch er kurz darauf spurlos. Nach und nach stößt Murot auf ein tödliches Geheimnis aus der Vergangenheit eines Artisten. (ARD Presse)
