Synopsis in German
Jan-Peter Landmann ist einer der mächtigsten Fleisch-Fabrikanten im sogenannten Schweinegürtel Niedersachsens. Kurz bevor seine Firma ein neues Wurstprodukt einführt, entgeht er nur knapp einem Mordanschlag. Sein Chauffeur Karl "Carlito" Ebert und er hatten vor der tödlichen Fahrt spontan die Plätze getauscht, dadurch überlebt Landmann und "Carlito" stirbt. Polizeischutz lehnt Firmenchef Landmann ab - auch, weil er Charlotte Lindholm imponieren will, die das örtliche Kriminalkommissariat bei der Aufklärung des Anschlags unterstützt. Der charismatische Familienunternehmer wird von seinen Mitarbeitern verehrt, aber von seinen Konkurrenten gehasst - vorliegende Drohbriefe sprechen eine deutliche Sprache.

Doch als die Mutter des toten Chauffeurs eine hohe Abfindung erhält, wachsen bei Charlotte Lindholm Zweifel, ob der Anschlag tatsächlich Landmann galt. Was wusste der Chauffeur über die kriminellen Herstellungsmethoden im Familienbetrieb? Lindholms Suche nach dem Täter wird mit zweifelhaftem Erfolg unterstützt durch die unerfahrene Kommissarin Bär. Als ein weiterer Anschlag auf Landmann erfolgt, wird klar, dass mehr als ein Leben auf dem Spiel steht. (ARD Presse)
