Synopsis in German
Bei einem Wettschiessen ist als Hauptpreis die legendäre "Winchester '73" ausgelobt worden. Lin McAdam gewinnt die Waffe zwar, sie wird ihm jedoch von dem Verbrecher Dutch Henry Brown gestohlen. In der Folge geht das Gewehr durch verschiedene Hände und wird bei vielen blutigen Kämpfen eingesetzt, bevor es wieder in den Besitz von Dutch gelangt.
