English title: Sacrifice Remarks and general Information in German: nicht nach Ewers, sondern nach der Alraune-Sage. Die Luna-Film hatte 1919 gegen die Neutral-Film wegen des Titels "Alraune" prozessiert, das Landgericht I Berlin erlaubte aber der Neutral-Film, den Titel gleichwohl zu verwenden, da Ewers nicht Titel nicht für den Roman ausschliesslich verwenden konnte. [c.f.Reinhold Keiner, Hanns Heinz Ewers und der Phantastischen Film, pg 42f]. Der Film wurde in den USA unter dem Titel "Sacrifice" durch die "Newtral Films" in die Kinos gebracht, eine 16-mm Kopie ist im Archiv des George Eastman House in Rochester. (lhg 2017)
