Der junge Carl Michael Ziehrer will als Komponist und Dirigent aus dem Schatten des großen Johann Strauß treten. Doch es bedarf einiger Anstrengungen, bis er das Publikum für eine seiner Kompositionen gewinnen kann. Seine Musik hat es besonders den Töchtern des Hofrates Munk angetan. So widmet Ziehrer diesen Wiener Mädeln nicht nur einen Walzer, sondern auch sein Leben. Denn unter den vier jungen Damen findet er schließlich auch seine Herzdame. (3Sat Presse)
