Peggy Karoly, Fotomodell, wird am Telefon Zeuge, wie ihre Freundin Natascha umgebracht wird. Weder Adresse noch Telefonnummer kann sie der Kommissarin nennen, die sich diese Geschichte skeptisch erzählen lässt.
Erst durch das Auffinden der Leiche wird die Geschichte für die Kommissarin zu einem Fall. Plötzlich auftauchende anonyme Briefe an Peggy scheinen im Zusammenhang mit dem Mordfall an ihrer Freundin Natascha zu stehen. Eine anonyme Anruferin, die mehr über die Mordgeschichte zu wissen scheint und nur gegen Belohnung aussagen will, ist für die Kommissarin nicht erreichbar.
Was bleibt nun der Kommissarin weiterhin zu tun, wenn sie feststellen muss, dass Peggy keinen neuen anonymen Briefe mehr erhält und sich durch einen neuen Freund völlig sicher fühlt. Durch eine kleine, gelungene Recherche ergibt sich eine Spur. Die Kommissarin muss schnell und beherzt handeln, um ein neues Unglück zu verhindern. (ARD Presse)
