German title: Das Geheimnis der grünen Stecknadel Reviews in German: "Tatort einiger bestialischer Morde ist ein Londoner Mädchenpensionat. Einziges Indiz für Kommissar Barth ist eine grüne Stecknadel. Bei seinen Nachforschungen richtet sich sein Verdacht zunächst auf den Italienisch-Lehrer des Internats, doch schließlich findet er heraus, daß ein anderer Lehrer des Institutes der Mörder ist. Sein Motiv war Haß auf jene Schülerinnen, bei deren Sexorgien seine Tochter Solange schwanger wurde. Nach einer anschließenden Abtreibung blieb das Mädchen dann geistig gestört. Nur sehr frei nach Wallace' Roman ließ Produzent Horst Wendlandt diesen Streifen drehen. In einer Co-Produktion mit Italien und mit einem italienischen Routine-Regisseur versuchte er, die ausgebrannte Wallace-Serie noch einmal zu retten - vergeblich. Nach diesem filmischen und finanziellen Reinfall wurde nur noch ein Film der Serie gedreht: "Das Rätsel des silbernen Halbmondes". (Meinolf Zurhorst, Lexikon des Kriminalfilms)
