Synopsis in German
Von der Polizei umzingelt, wird ein Bankräuber in seinem Haus erschossen. Seine junge, schwangere Frau Margot nimmt unter Schock die Waffe an sich und verletzt im Handgemenge einen Polizisten. Eine Jury spricht sie schuldig, sie wird zu sieben Jahren Gefängnis verurteilt. Das Kind, das sie in einem Spital bekommt, wird ihr weggenommen und von einer reichen Familie adoptiert. - Ein früherer Freund Scott kämpft für ihre Freilassung und beweist schliesslich ihre Unschuld. Verzweifelt versucht Margot nun, ihr Kind wieder zu bekommen, sie entführt es aus dem Garten der reichen Adoptiveltern. Scott gelingt es, die Adoptiveltern zur Freigabe des Kindes zu überreden. Reviews in German: Direkt und ohne falsches Pathos erzählte Geschichte, überzeugend in ihrer Rolle Elissa Landi als Margot, die sich nur mit Mühe aus den Mühlen der Justiz befreien kann.
