Bobby (Colin Farrell) und Jonathan (Dallas Roberts) sind seit ihrer Jugend eng befreundet. Als Jonathan ins New Yorker East Village der siebziger Jahre zieht, bleibt Bobby in einem langweiligen Vorort von Ohio zurück.
