Französischer Titel: La Fortune du Capitaine Osservaciones generales (en Alemán): Die Angaben zu Stab und Besetzung sind in den Unterlagen zum Teil widersprüchlich. In den Katalogen des American Film Institutes ist diese Version von "Hard Cash" nicht verzeichnet. Während Liam O'Leary Hal Reid als Regisseur nennt, führen Einart Lauritzen und Gunnar Lundquist sowie Jean Mitry Charles M. Seay als Regisseur an. Laut der Erstkritik in "The New York Dramatic Mirror" von 1913 ist Richard Ridgely der Regisseur. John Hancock Collins wird in einem Artikel des Moving Picture World [1913, Volume XVIII, pg 1263] genannt. Der Film gilt als verschollen.
Ein Film mit dem gleichen Titel wurde von IMP 1910 produziert, weitere Angaben dazu sind nicht verfügbar, 1921 wurde ein Remake des Stoffes unter der Regie von Edwin J. Collins in England gedreht. (lhg 2014)
