Synopsis in German
Die junge Jill lebt mit ihrer Mutter ein sorgenfreies Leben am Genfer See. Sie schwärmt für den Journalisten und Regisseur Fabio, doch der beachtet sie nicht. Enttäuscht begleitet Jill einen Freund nach Paris. Dort wird sie als Fotomodell entdeckt und avanciert auch beim Film schnell zum umjubelten Star.
Doch der Preis für Bekanntheit und Ruhm ist hoch. Jill wird auf Schritt und Tritt von Reportern und Fotografen verfolgt, und ihr Privatleben wird gnadenlos vor der Öffentlichkeit ausgebreitet. Aber auch die hemmungslosen Sympathiebekundungen ihrer Fans zerren an den Nerven der jungen Frau. Jill gerät in eine emotionale Krise und versucht, sich das Leben zu nehmen. In dieser Situation trifft sie ihre Jugendliebe Fabio wieder, der ihr seine Hilfe anbietet. Doch die Katastrophe ist nicht mehr abwendbar. (arte Presse)
